I think of virtuous circles and vicious circles that Gunnar Myrdal came up with. AND how this is talked about economically as a virtuous circle (not only the values and virtues you mention but more the fact of local trading rather than exogenous controlled trade). Your amplification here makes me think of the biodiversity and the decline spirals that occur with habitat fragmentation as different alpha, beta and gamma diversities are not respected. It is impressive that a coalescing upward spiral can be created from a place that has lost so much.

I like that. Yes, Virtuous Circles, though, as Gunnar describes, are still part of a "mind made" concept and ironically not a Virtue.

Virtues are necessary as a foundation to create a space where people are free to create mutual support systems in the community rather than simply promoting so-called progressive ideas like Diversity that the state's managerial class can impose on others. I am sure we can talk more about this offline. Let's chat sometime.

A beautiful piece of writing that inspires hope whilst showing how it is truly possible to bring *intentional community* to life. 🙏🏽🎉
