Great to hear from you Suzanne! I really enjoyed your post. One of the insights that is bubbling up --- Connect the Good of what is already happening at the grassroots - rather than try to create just another group.
It is easier said than done. The challenge with connecting existing efforts is that people generally want to bring together those with the same thinking -- say, new age, or Christians, or so-called "progressive" or other political voices, or those who care about one issue or another.
When you are working at the grassroots, the issues that people care about are more basic --- more local food and water, energy, vibrant local economies, strong families and neighborhoods, expanding arts and culture, dealing directly with those on the margins and more.
